It's Time to Govern Differently

This week, the Supreme Court gutted one of the last key protections in the Voting Rights Act, making it harder to challenge racial gerrymandering and opening the door to policies that will disenfranchise entire communities.

This puts decades of progress on voting rights at risk, all while sending a dangerous message: that as long as discrimination isn't said out loud, it doesn't count.

Here in Anne Arundel County, we don't have to accept that standard. We can and we should choose to govern differently.
