Why I Support James - Your Talking Toolkit

Use these points when talking to neighbors, friends, and voters at events. Keep it personal and conversational.

He's Done the Job

"James has 8 years of senior leadership in county government. He's not learning on the job - he's ready on day one because he's already been doing it."

No Corporate Money

"He's the only candidate running 100% on public financing. No developer money, no corporate donors. Every $10 becomes $70 with the county match. That means he works for us, not special interests."

Affordable Housing

"Housing costs are out of control. James wants more funding for housing programs and has proposed a progressive property tax to make sure working families can afford to stay here."

Stronger Schools

"James started as a high school teacher. TAAAC endorsed him because they trust him on education. He'll fight for our schools."

Fix Traffic

"He won't take developer money, so he can actually say no to development that makes traffic worse. He'll invest in roads and transit that work."

Protect the Environment

"Anne Arundel borders the Bay. James will protect our waterways, greenspace, and hold developers accountable for environmental impact."

Tips for Talking to Voters

  • Lead with why YOU support James - your personal story is more powerful than any talking point.
  • Ask what matters to them - listen first, then connect James's positions to their concerns.
  • Make the ask - "Will you vote for James Kitchin on June 23?" Direct asks work.
  • Help them vote - send them to jameskitchin.com/voting for registration, mail-in ballots, drop boxes, and polling places.
FINAL PUSH

Want to be part of the final push?

From now through Election Day on June 23, we need every hand on deck. Email us and we'll loop you in directly with what we need most this week.

James Kitchin

Why James Kitchin?

James Kitchin is running for Anne Arundel County Executive in the June 23 Democratic Primary. He's spent 8 years in senior leadership in county government, managing community engagement and constituent services under the Pittman administration.

James is the only candidate running 100% on the public financing system - no corporate money, no developer donations, only small-dollar contributions from real people. Every $10 becomes $70 with the county's matching program.

His priorities: Affordable housing, stronger schools, fixing traffic, environmental protection, and public safety.
